Bring the benefits of High Definition CCTV to your Installation

HD-SDI is an opportunity you can’t afford to ignore. Many of you will have High Definition TV in your homes, and will come to expect the same level of picture quality from a CCTV system. You can now have that easily and cost effectively thanks to HD-SDI. Briefly, the benefits of HD-SDI CCTV are:

• High Definition images, making it easier to identify individuals.
• Simple installation using standard coax cable.
• No need to involve IT Managers as part of the installation.

HD stands for High Definition, and SDI stands for Serial Digital Interface – a family of standardised, broadcast quality digital interfaces using BNC connectors. The standard was adopted by the SMPTE (Society of
Motion Picture and Television Engineers). Because of its origins in broadcast, the definition and picture quality of HD-SDI footage is noticeably higher than a standard analogue signal. The technology has now been adopted by the CCTV sector. Because it has been designed with the sole purpose of providing Megapixel, High Definition footage over standard coax cable, it is perfectly suited to CCTV, where the majority of existing systems use coax. HD-SDI can easily be used in tandem with existing analogue cameras. Compared with IP.

The clip below gives an idea of the quality from a HD-SDI system.

Dahua have launched a new HD system known as CVI, this is the same as SDI mentioned above but has the ability to travel over longer distances, i.e. SDI has a maximum distance over RG59 cable of 80mts, whereas CVI will work up to 250mts providing greater flexability.

Above are some of the range of the new CVI cameras, they can be suplied with fixed lenses or motorised vary-focal lenses, some of the models also have built in mic's for audio, all cameras are day/night with built in IR's ranging from 20mts to 60mts.

The Dahua range of DVR's all support HDMI and VGA monitors and connection to mobile phones. Ipads etc.The units range from 4 channel to 32 channel, and can be fitted with hard drives from 1TB to 16TB depending on what recording time is required.

Another feature with these units are they are all tribrid's, that is the support Analogue, CVI and IP on the same unit, therefore making it easy to upgrade as and when neccassry.
